The IST test is a test where daisy-chains of 100 PTVs or more, which are
cyclicly resistance heated and continuously resistance monitored to establish
the number of cycles to failure of either the PTV barrels or the
barrel-to-innerlayer interconnects.
The test method is being round robined by 2 IPC task groups and is in the
process of becoming an IPC-TM.
