The expression that has come down from history that covers this area is:

"Caveat Emptor"

which translates to "Buyer Beware"

in other words, the buyer has a responsibility to make sure that the material
purchased means his needs.

The world does seem to be leaning far in the other direction today, and a lot
of that is because we are all now purchasing things whose mechanism and
design we understand poorly, if at all.

At the end of the day, will anything that we decide here on this subject have
ANY impact on any specific situation in any of our lives?
