We do it monthly, but are considering changing to an hours run period
(add a hour meter to the circuit for the wave pump).  The things you
need to consider are:
- how much volume is run through the machine (number of shifts / boards
per shift)
- complexity / size (ie. 100 PCMCIA cards would contaminate differently
than 100 cards that measure 15" x 20")
- history - what have your samples found in the past, trends, recent
maintenance activity...

As is usual on this forum, opinions are mine and worth what you paid for
them.
