Rolled Solder is a method used to coat single sided boards with
solder..it involves a solder pot and a transfer roller that applys
solder to the boards as they pass over the roller...

Prior to hot air leveling it was the method used in place of tin/lead
plate and reflow....It allowed a conveyorized method of solder
application which low cost single sided boards needed to stay
competitive...
