We are using a through hole crystal in a HC-49/U package on a SMT board.
For shielding and mechanical rigidity reason we want to solder a wire from
a pad on the PWB to the crystal can. What are the guidelines for soldering
to crystal cans? What temperture and how long can we heat the crystal can?
What type of solder?
