Hello.

Many times I have found myself in a situation where I reply to a message from a mail list, only to find that the issue was resolved in subsequent postings to the forum. Obviously, that's what happened with the BGA issue.

First, any special maintenance requests like subscribe, unsubscribe, etc. should be sent directly to me ([log in to unmask]), not to the mail list.

There is no BGA mail list. TechNet covers BGA topics, and, as Jack Crawford mentioned earlier, identifying the subject of your message in the subject line makes browsing through the numerous TechNet messages a whole lot easier. Also, scrolling down your new messages list and checking the progress on the issue you are about to reply to, sometimes can save you from an embarrassing situation as well as save all of us some time, disk space, and bandwidth. After all, TechNet has almost 1400 subscribers, and counting the 10 messages posted after Jack's explanation (and they still keep coming), makes it roughly 14 000 messages delivered.

TechNet is a high-volume email forum, and things like that will happen, may be we can try to decrease the chances of it happening too often.
