FYI,

Not all SOT23 leadframes are Alloy 42, as many products are
now assembled using adhesive die attach, not eutectic alloys.
Alloy 42 does not prevent the use of adhesives, but where new
frames are being tooled, copper is sometimes used due to its higher
thermal conductivity.

As Werner pointed out way back, you can quickly check by using
a magnet.
