Maybe "a fuse is a fuse is a fuse," but but a "resettable fuse" is just a
marketing term for a resistive PTC device. Thus I prefer the symbol used by
Raychem for their PolySwitch brand, a resistor with a PTC characteristic
curve through it (similar to what Doug suggested):

Does anyone know what the proper schematic symbol is for a resettable fuse?
Would it be the same as a circuit breaker?
