Hi --

Does anyone else out there worry about static charge on PCB's prior to
placing components? At times we've measured a charge of several kV on our PCB's;
seems like a bad idea to place static-sensitive components on them without
discharging first with ionized air. Yet I don't recall seeing anything in the
literature about this as a standard practice. Am I missing something here?

Thanks,
