Wilber,
Up until the last few years all our boards were thru-hole and were
assembled and tested in-house. Now that we have started converting to SMT
we are running up against new limitations in our in-house testing. We
typically do full functional testing of completed assemblies per a test
plan supplied by the design engineer. Right now, we may get in a shipment
of boards, test them a month or two down the line, determine that some
don't work, stack up the broke ones, and eventually determine the cause was
a fault of the assembly house as much as 6 months after we received them.
This is obviously a problem.
I am looking for generic information as to what is available in the market
and what kinds of results, costs and requirements we are going to be
looking at.

Thanks,
Don Walker
