I have been looking and trialing various pieces of
inspection equipment for a SMT Assembly line and have not
found a solution that fits my needs to date.   These are
the three needs that I have:

1) An in-line inspection station which requires a
adjustable, no-frills magnifier lens.  At Nepcon a couple
of years back I was talking to a manufacturer of magnifying
lenses that did not have a frame around it.  I do not know
the name or location of the firm.  Anyone know of such an
item?  I have tried the standard illuminated magnification
products and do not find them overly useful.  Any
suggestions?

2) An end-of-line heads-up fine pitch inspection station
which has up to a 30X magnification capability.

3) A off-line X/Y/Z(optional) coordinate measuring device.
Would like it to be capable of measuring items up to a
20"X20" area with a accuracy of 0.001" or less.  Would like
to keep the cost of this item relatively low ($10K or less,
if possible).  Willing to look at second hand items.
Currently have a Mitutoyo CMM mechanical measurement system
but the cost to upgrade to a optical system is very high.
