Hello Technetters!
We are experiencing problems with the physical description of components
for the vision system of our Pick & Place equipment. A lot of time is spent
measuring devices and the precision of those measures is not always good,
causing rejection of parts, misplacement, etc.
I would like to know:
1- Is there any ready-made shape code librairies available on the market
for automatic Pick & Place equipment (Panasonic)?
2- Is there anyone who is using theoretical mechanical dimensions for shape
code librairies instead of measuring the components (for example: JEDEC
standard)? If yes, is it reliable?
Any information will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Marie-Josee Lambert
