The method used depends on AW type and expose units.
Diazo film loses density as it is used. Check your DMAX ( density ) to
determine the replacement point. Most resist suppliers reccomend a
minimum of 4.0 density.
Silver film does not have this problem. With the film we are using, I
would be very concerned to see anything lower than 4.5.
Manual expose is very hard on film. Auto expose is very easy on film.
You may want to set your limits differantly.
With silver film and an Auto Expose unit I would expect 1000+ shots
before the film starts to wear out. It's more how you handle the film
when it's not in use that is the key.
