Hi Techneters.
I am a new sales person in a connector manufacturer. I have a question I
was hoping someone could answer.
First of all, one of my prospective clients wants a SMT style connector.
This connector (according to the specs the client gave me) has gold flash
on the contact points and tin on the tails. Our home office in Taiwan
asked me if the customer would be interested in an all-gold flash variant,
since we could offer this at a better price. My question is, does gold
flash interfere with SMT IR soldering?
Thank you,
Jesse Covner
