Technetters,
I have some problems pretinning some components stored for 5 years.
The components shall be used in space equipment and according to
ESA-PSS-01-708 we can use rosin based flux (RMA) for pretinning. If
RMA flux are inadequate, corrosive water-soluble acid flux can be
used.
For our components RMA flux does not do the trick.
1) Does anyone know a good method that can be used?
2) Does anyone know suppliers of corrosive water-soluble acid fluxes?
3) We have heard of a flux type called SUPERIOR 30. Can anyone tell me
about suppliers of this flux?
Thanks,
Stein Davidsen
