I'm not aware of any criteria for solder in the flared area of a terminal. In
my opinion, you should not have to remove the solder. Unnecessary rework is
something which should always be avoided. Take it for what it's worth.

Is anyone aware of any criteria within J-STD-001A or B that concerns itself
with acceptable solder joints on flared terminals ?

When flared terminals are wavesoldered, the center section where the
terminal is flared is filled with solder. Is this an acceptable condition ?
Or, does the flared center have to be wicked out ?

The post wavesolder wiring to the terminal is done with SN63 solder.
