You must T off a main route. It makes for a less than ideal layout from a
space and min. trace standpoint but it beats unsoldered parts. The "T"
must not occur under the part to prevent part floating during reflow.
Also trace widths entering 0402 pads should be restricted to .15mm
(.006in)
0402 components are extremely small and require special attention.
