     Hi Scott - 
     
     I have done some soldering to Platinum with reasonable success. The 
     key parameter was the type of flux I used - the flux activation system 
     must be compatible with the platinum finish and the base metal. A good 
     platinum finish on a bad base metal is a bad thing! Both a RMA and a 
     low residue formulation (it was a rosin based low residue) worked.    
     Work with your flux vendor on what they suggest as your starting 
     point. Good luck.

Can anyone share information regarding production soldering to Platinum 
leads?
Lead diameter is 0.0135".
Process to be either wavesolder or hand solder. 
Any relevant data appreciated.
