        Try an ultrafilter in a recirculation loop, or batch the entire bath. 
You can filter out the biologicals from the bath, but allow small ions to pass. 
Some additives may also be removed by the ultrafilter, but most will pass with 
the correct pore size. This method is FDA approved for sterilizing water, so it 
should take care of mold.

We have a mildly acidic citrate type plating bath that develops MOLD
after periods of unuse, usually within two to three weeks. The mold
stains the deposit and plugs the filters. We prefer not to use
formaldehyde as a biocide due to its toxicity.

Can anyone recommend a benign biocide? Please advise.
