Hi Jamey -
I would suggest using some Scanning Electron Microscopy analysis
techniques to determine what the final solder composition of the
solder joint is after going through the process. If you are quite a
bit off of the Sn63/Pb37 composition or have some really segregated
zones you may want to do some solder joint reliability testing to
insure that you will get the solder joint life you expect for your use
environment.

Fellow netters, what is your feel on mixing 63/37 tin-lead solder plating
with 96.5/3.5 silver-tin wave solder process? How will the inner-metallic
layers react? This is a new one for me......
THANKS
Jamey
