Hi Jeff,
You are  correct to worry about this. Non-symmetrical layups can be assemble,
but require special handling, in particular more extensive, and perhaps
depending on the severity of the non-symmetry unequal, pre-heating. The only
way to find out is to build some prototypes and assemble them fully loaded.
Make sure the prototype is build with the same material as would be the
product.
