IPC-RB-276 has a chart defining minimum standard plating
thickness. for Gold the requirements are:

         Class 1 0.00075mm(0.00003in)
    general use PCBs
         Class 2 0.00075mm(0.00003in)
     high reliability PCBs
          Class 3 0.0013mm (0.00005in)
    mission critical PCBs
I hope this helps.

Is there an IPC spec for minimum thickness of gold plating
on edge tabs
for high reliability boards? I was thinking it was 30
microinches but
I'm looking for a spec.
Thanks
