Dear TechNetters,

We would like to use a 7-lead DDPAK surface-mount plastic power package.

Question:
What methods can be used to easily heatsink copper tab to PWB for
excellent thermal performance?

Possible option? 2" x 2" copper area used as heatsink?

Thank you for your recommendations,

David Hammond
