Yes, For a product to be UL certified it must meet the requirements
of the catagory of product that it is.
In my case that would be UL508 for field wiring for industrial control products or UL840 for clearance and creepage distances on the PCB's.
A Product cannot carry the UL UR or CE marks unless they have been approved by the agency.  UL requires artwork/schems to verify clearance and creepage distances; color coding is preferred.
