Mr. Brummer:

You could help us all who consider ourselves expert in this area, if you
would tell us how you have attempted to prepare the metal, to date.  Further,
there are many Monels, give us an idea as to which one you are dealing with
here, and more specifically, if you have the alloy composition, that might
help best of all.
