In the gerber, leave it 1 to 1 as a standard that the process folks can
depend on and modify themselves to fit their processes. Because of
different component types on the assembly, they may want to go from an 8 mil
stencil to 6 mils which would change the aperture size on other components.

non-standard pad sizes. I'm thinking about a copper area vs stencil
