Hi Joe,
I would recommend to go to IPC-TR-484. 'Results of IPC Copper Foil Ductility
Round Robin Study' for measured round robined properties of commercial ED
foils (E1, E2, E3 &E4) from 3 vendors an rolled foils (W5, W7 & W8) from 2
vendors of 1/2, 3/4 1 and 2 oz/sq.ft. thickness. Thickness variations are
reported, as are measeured tensile strength ranges, raw fatigue data are
given, fatigfue ductility means and 2-sigma ranges are given for both
machine- and cross-machine directions.
Elongation values are useless for foils for engineering purposes, they do
however serve as adequate process control indicators. Bulge test data are not
much better. That is why the fatigue ductility test was developed in the
first place.
