Mr. Ohlig:

I am not referring exactly to a physical film as technology has been
made public regarding liquid crystalline light valves (thermally
written) and liquid crystalline drawing devices that "act" as reuseable
films.

Perhaps I was not clear.

Two companies, which I do not have any ties to, have US patents:

Asahi Kogaku Kogyo Kabushki Kaisha, Tokyo, Japan
patents 5,026,145; 5,062,692; and 5,078,474 (1988-1990)

Omnichrome, CA
patent 5,556,884 (1995)

The abstracts are available at http://patents.uspto.gov/index.html

I have no additional information but am interested in anyone who has
purchased devices or licensed similar technology.

I hope this is of use.

Sincerely,
Dieter
