Ive been reviewing a CCA that will be using commercial components at
elevated temperatures. I've typically found that commercial ICs are
rated from 0 oC to 70 oC ambient temperature.

Does anyone have information on what "ambient" is? i.e. natural or forced
convection

If forced convection, what air velocity, volume flowrate or mass
flowrate?

Is there a standard test used for rating components at 70 oC ambient and
if so, could someone direct me to where I can find information on that
test.

Thanks for the help.
