I am seeking information on guidelines on what is important in selecting electronic mfg equipment.  I know each type has specific things important but in general is their some info available to help ask proper questions to an equipment mfg or for a manager to review in house engineering specifications for outside subcontracting of a piece of equipment?  Some things come to mind ie:  throughput,flexibility,programming ease, repeatability,etc. 

Would appreciate any help you may provide.
