    Luc,
    Viasystems Group have laser drilling technology within the group,
    both in Europe (at Exacta) and in Canada (at Circo).
    At Exacta we are currently manufacturing designs for a number of
    customers who are not yet in full scale production, but wish to
    evaluate the microvia technologies in order that they can confirm
    their design rules - with very thin dielectrics, normal impedance
    calculations may not work. The design rules such as minimum
    dielectric space of 0.1mm will also have to be revised as this
    limits the ability to manufacture micro blind vias.
