HADCO recommends a remaining material thickness of .012"
(+/-.002") for .062" thick boards. The tolerance precludes
scoring simultaneously with two blades. Thirty degree
cutters are standard, and remove less material than a wider
blade. Establish a minimum metal keep-out zone of .025"
adjacent to score line. Scoring offers these advantages:
           Ease of separation
           Possible increased panel utilization
           Eliminates solder splash during assembly
           Smoother finished edge
Cost for score or rout is a wash, but a combination of both
may add cost to your design. Parts must be rectangular, and
          breaking corners is not possible.

On 0.062 inch thick boards, we currently call for a 30 degree score,
0.020 inch deep on opposing sides of the board.
We are trying to develop our standard for scoring. Is this what most use
for scoring?
Do you score boards thicker than 0.062 and if so what dimensioning do
you use for those?
If given the choice would you select scoring over routing? why?

Thought this might be of general interest to the board community.
