Ed, your problem may be due to dewet around the knee.  Check to see if your
voiding is around the circumferance of the PTH.  Do some microsections on the
defects and see if they don't orginate from this area without any copper
voiding.

If components are contaminated,you should find the defects at the same
locations on the board.Maybe your board is contaminated.
Try to visually examine your boards for organic contamination and run
some bare boards through tht wave.
