     Hi Jan -

I have successfully soldered to chromium by using either a
hydrochloric/nitric or oxalic acid type flux activator - but I
wouldn't recommend that either be used in an assembly operation unless
you could 100% assure yourself that you could get the assemblies clean
(really fuzzy looking things start growing on the assemblies and
demand to be fed!). Good luck.

A design engineer just called me and asked about soldering to chromium. Is
it possible? What difficulties to expect? Flux type required?
Thanks in advance for all responses.
