Hi all!

I would like to thank everyone who responding to my question about the
differences between RS-274 and RS-274-X. I've learned more about Gerber files
in the past twenty-four hours than I have in the five years since I started
working here. I approached my senior designer about this and he's wiling to
look into whether our board fabricators have the capabilities of reading this
format. I was able to show him how simple it was. The only snag we've found
was in the program we use in-house to mill prototype boards. It apparently
requires an apperture list. We may have to revert to RS-274-D for our
prototypes and use RS-274-X for the final release.

If anyone out there can help me with that little glitch, I'd surely appreciate
it. We use Isolator/Isolator for Windows version 3.2.3 by T-Tech Inc out of
Atlanta GA.

Many thanks!
