Jamie: There are two primary categories of peelable mask;latex and
vinyl. The latex materials I'm aware of do not lend themselves well to
application using screening techniques. They are typically applied using a
dispense nozzle. The vinyls can be applied by either screening or dispense
nozzle.
The material cost of the vinyl is roughly 2X that of the latex.
The vinyl has better heat resistance than the latex, however both stand up
to flowsolder quiet well.
Removal after assembly can be difficult and labor intensive. If the
material is not applied in a wide enough strip or thickness or cured properly
it tears when being peeled off.
If you decide to go with the latex style make sure you use a non-ammoniated
version.
