Ray,
The only caution I'd add to Andy's excellent reply is to
watch out for the DC series resistance of a trace this long.
Practical experience has led me to find that when this sort
of problem arises, one tends to be operating in an impedance
controlled realm. This will of course drive your trace width
selection. Add in some circuit density, and you may be using
a line width that can inject a significant resistance.
