     A good reference on the problems that gold/silver/copper can create is 
     "Connector Reliability in the Military Environment", S. Koford, 
     Connector Technology, May 1989. The article also has a nice list of 
     additional references. The diffusion of silver and/or copper into the 
     gold causes a number a problems that you need to evaluate for your 
     application and use environment. Good Luck.

HELP!
I have a requirement on a PWB for Gold over Silver plating over copper clad 
glass epoxy board.  
Several mfg have told me No due to migration problems and EPA requirements. 
Would someone 
provide provide additional information on this.  I would like to show customer 
why and propose 
gold over nickel.  Many thanks.
