Hello friends,
I have a question about the material Kapton. Does this material
deteriorate due to flexing (if used in a PC board). I want to use it to
wrap around a hinge on a small door that will need to close (where the
board will bend 180 degrees) and be able to open (where the board will
bend about 90 degrees). So the board will need to bend repeatedly
between 90-180 degrees. Will this hurt the board?
Second, can you just put a crease in the board and end up with the
board in an accordian like shape that would relieve the stress of the
opening and shutting? Does this compromise the integrity of the board
and the wiring? If anyone has any experience in this, I would
appreciate some suggestions. Also if you knew of a better technique or
material, I would be happy to hear them. Thanks a lot.
