The California Circuits Association presents:
Microvia Technology Conference: Meeting the Challenges of the Semi-Conductor
Industry

MATERIALS, DESIGN, EQUIPMENT:
Key components to Microvias!

Can the PWB approach the functionality of silicon? The PWB industry faces an
ecormous challenge as the market drives the pwb toward silicon-like densities
with minimal size and reduced layer count.

This conference will bring some of the leading microvia experts to examine
all the facets of this new technology and how the fabricator can utilize it
and how the OEM can design for it.

The Conference will be held in Northern California at the Hyat San Jose
Airport on Wednesday, May 7 and at the Sutton Place Grande Hotel in Newport
Beach on Thursday, May 8, 1997.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND:

Engineers and Technologist involved in hte manufacturer of PWBs should
certainly attend this conference. In addition, since microvia technology
impacts fabrication materials and processes, suppliers to the industry will
also greatly benefit from attending this conference. OEMs who specify / use
PWBs will also find this conference of significant value.

PROGRAM MODERATOR:

Jack Fisher is the Chief Technical Officer for the “Interconnection
Technology Research Institute” better known as ITRI. Mr. Fisher has 25 years
experience as a Senior Manager of I.B.M.’s printed wiring board manufacturing
operations. In 1994 Mr. Fisher was appointed Chairman of the “I.P.C.
National Technology Roadmap for the Electronic Interconnections” The Roadmap
was published in June of 1995, and presented to the United States Congress in
August of 1995.

TWO CONVENIENT LOCATIONS:

In order to serve all of California, this conference will be held in Northern
and Southern California. On Wednesday, May 7, 1997, the conference will take
place at the Hyatt San Jose Airport, 1740 North First Street, San Jose, CA.
On Thursday, May 8, the conference will take place at the Sutton Place
Grande Hotel located conveniently off the 405 freeway at 4500 MacArthur
Blvd., Newport Beach, CA (across form John Wayne Orange County airport).
