     Anybody,

Any ideas if i had stored the paste at either -20C or at 20C for a
     minimum of 1 month?

     Thanks,
     Siegfried

Siegfried,

I've used Kester 244 (RMA) quite extensively and find it to be a very
forgiving paste with wide process windows, and very easy to clean. At 10
deg C for an unopened container, I suspect you would have no problem with a
storage time of 6 months from date of manufacture, after that I'd start
doing solderability tests depending on your specific requirements (or just
watch your results carefully). I've had some at 5 deg C. for over a year
and still have seen no performance loss.

As far as the -10 deg C, I don't have any input, perhaps others do. I'd be
interested in knowing that also. I suspect there would be no problem as
long as the paste is allowed to warm to room temperature before being
expose to air (and resulting condensation).

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
We're currently using Kester R244 and if anybody out there has used this
paste, please share with me your experience with this paste and how it
performs when it has been stored at relatively "extreme" temperatures,
such as -20C and 10C. We are currently storing ours at 4C and we would
like to determine what our storage tolerances should be. We are looking
at a window between -10C and 10C.

Also, has anybody used this paste after it has been stored at around 8
hours at approximately dry ice temperature? What do you suppose would
happen after paste stored at this cold temperature is reflowed?

Regards,
Siegfried Quemado
