I don't know of any group working on wicking.
We really don't see much of it anymore and if
excessive wicking is present there is usually
more problems than wicking.

My only concern regarding wicking is I think it
should not be 3 mils for a max limit, but 2 mils 
(or whatever internal annular ring minimum limit 
is established).   That way the wicking would not
extend past the internal annular rings.
