My name is David Fancher. I am the Quality Manager for a wire harness
assembly company called Precision Cable Mfg. Corp.
(http://www.precisioncable.com). Our primary use of solder is in wire
tinning and soldering. We do some PCB componernt mounting as well. My
company has been using Genesolv as a flux cleaner. I believe as of January
of this year, it is no longer available due to its harmful effects on the
ozone layer. I am looking for a comaprable replacement in terms of cleaning
ability.
We use Kester 1515 rosin flux, Kester "245" 63/37 core 50 solder (.031in. and
.050in. dia.), and 60/40 and 63/37 Kester Ultrapure bar solder. I would
appreciate any feedback anyone has regarding any recommendations of what
cleaner to use and where to get it.
