     February 7th & 8th the Chesapeake Chapter sponsored a two-day seminar
on electronic fundamentals for designers, a.k.a. "Beebop to the
Boolean Boogie" by Clive "Max" Maxfield.

The seminar was well received and attended by 30 participants,
including guests from Upstate New York and Delaware. The rare snow of
the season caused a small driving and distraction problem on Saturday,
but everyone enjoyed the two days.

Thanks to Dan Dawson (Veribest), Linda Mazzitelli (Veribest), Eric
Steffen (Automata), and Carrie Lawn (HADCO) for providing an enjoyable
     Chillis lunch for Friday's seminar.

Thanks to the Board (Linda Mazzitelli, Peter Demaree, Mirka Halas, and
Steve Sarasin) for allowing our Chapter to provide lunch on Saturday!

Many people purchased the text "Beebop to the Boolean Boogie" at a
reduced cost of $30.00, which were hand-delivered. There are still
some copies left at this reduced price, so please contact Carrie Lawn
at HADCO if you would like to purchase a copy on a first-come,
first-served basis. Checks should be made payable to the IPC
     Designers Council Chesapeake Chapter.

In lieu of the seminar and because of the President's Day Holiday for
many, the February meeting will be cancelled. The next meeting will
be held March 17th (St. Patrick's Day) at Automata.
