ISO does mean all things equal or the same. you only have to
look at words like isobar<line on map showing= barometric
pressure>, isodynamic<having = force,or power>,
isochromatic<having the same colour> and many more. As an
international standard, I'm only guessing but I think It is ISO
rather than IOS cos it's in French.
