Scott,

Sorry, I don't even remember getting your first message.

In a previous life as a mass laminator we used rivets to hold two inner layer
cores together. Tooling holes had been precisly punched and we sandwhiched the
inner cores around pre preg. It worked pretty well.

Problems we encountered had to do with listing or breaking. We use a two piece
rivet sized for the package they had to hold.

Good luck.

A couple of weeks ago I sent out an e-mail looking for some information on
riveting, but unfortunately did not receive any responses. In a hope to get
some information I would like to resubmit my inquiry and this time ask more
direct questions.

What height of rivet, before riveting, do most people use for panels that
are 0.018" to 0.062"?
Can you use the same rivet for the different thickness?
What height should the rivet be after riveting the panels?
What type of gap do you set on your rivet machines?
Do you use different gap settings for different thickness' of panels?

Any suggestions or answers would be appreciated.
