I have a document titled "SPECIFICATIONS CROSS-REFERENCE DOCUMENT", dated 17
April 89, that I received from what is now called MTTC. This document gives
you the corresponding paragraph numbers from DOD-STD-2000 to WS 6536E SCN 1,
2/3, &4, to Mil-S-45743 to Mil-S 46844 to Mil-Std-2000. I have a second
document from the same source, dated 14 May 1991 that does a Mil-Std-2000A
to Mil-Std-2000 Comparison. I have nothing that ties in IPC-A-610 or
J-Std-001. If you would like a copy of what I have, please contact me
directly.

Subject: QUAL: MIL-STD Comparison

    =20
This is my first time submitting anything to TechNet, so wish me luck.
    =20
The soldering performed in our facility meets the requirements of=20
MIL-STD-2000A. Since this standard is no longer active, we are=20
considering going to the J-STD-001 as our standard for soldering. I=20
have been performing much research in this area and have been=20
certified to IPC-A-610B which is basically a requirements=20
     specification for the J-STD-001. =20
    =20
I have been working on a comparison matrix to cross-reference
several=20
soldering specifications such as MIL-STD-2000A, MIL-STD-2000,=20
     DOD-STD-2000, WS-6536, MIL-S-45743, MIL-S-46844, MIL-P-46843,=20
     IPC-A-610B, and the J-STD-001. =20
    =20
This task is turning out to be extremely comprehensive and my question=
=20
is; Does anyone know of a comparison such as this that already=20
exists? If so, I am very interested in locating it. =20
    =20
     Thank you for your time.
