     To aid in fiducial recognition a different surface finish will help 
     such as OSP or Electroless Ni Immersion Au.  Another alternative would 
     be a clear soldermask over the fiducial.  This would require the 
     entire board to be clear mask and assumes this product is mask over 
     bare copper (SMOBC).  This type of change could be less traumatic to 
     the assembly process than changing surface finish.

Hello Technetters,
     
I am having a slight problem with the amount of solder on fiducials. This is 
causing optical recognition problems during the pick and place.
     
Any suggestions, maybe an alternative surface finish.
