The following is a response from Mike Morrow, a team leader in our boardshop:
The blue covers that we have on the old chair seats (ESD generators due to
the shellac on old wooden chairs)and chair back supports
have been approved as non static generators . The new ergo chairs have a
chain attached to them grounding them to the anti-static flooring
throughout the entire bd. shop. We are not allowed to use the chairs
without the approved anti-static blue covers on them.
