Our company is currently evaluating the use of Burn-In or Environmental
Stress Screening our assemblies. We are a captive house providing board
assemblies for the process control industry.

Our current ESS cycle is as follows:

Assemblies are elevated to 70°C in 5°C increments per minute.

Then they are dropped to 0°C

The cycle is repeated 12 times.

Power is applied to the assemblies in 5 minute increments, 5 min. on
		then 5 min. off.

My questions are:

Do other capitive assembly houses use a similisr test ?

Do contract assembly houses use a similiar test ?

If so, What resuts are expected and obtained ?

Are the tests performed based on some internal or external
		requirements ?

Are the results utilized for further actions ?

	If so, What actions ?

Your help and feed back is greatly appreciated.
